This coffee was produced and processed by Gizaw Alemayehu in the village of Alaka, located in Ethiopia’s Guji region.
Gizaw has devoted much of his life to coffee processing, a path shaped by the political challenges his family once faced.

His father was among many affected by the socialist government that came to power in 1974, when countless farmers lost their land.
Witnessing these struggles, Gizaw and his wife, Frehiwot, turned their focus to modern coffee processing techniques and export—building a more resilient future for their family and community.
